Android phone manufacturers will make their overlay skins optional

iphone 5 and galaxy s3Yesterday I went to the Rogers store and there was this sign saying that all iPhones were currently sold out. There was a line of over 20 people picking up iphone pre-orders still that was yesterday. Guess what, all Samsung android phones were all available, in every possible color and on display along with other shitty phones just right next to each other. The iPhone 5 floor model had its own separate stand just to itself. I played with the GS3 for some time (the line was long), sorry but it just can’t be compared; right away you can visually tell which phone is better built. The iPhone 5 is miles away in terms of looks and build quality.

If the dual core is an s4 krait only then will Samsung have a winner, anything else won’t cut muster with many. This is because Samsung wants to sell this to people who don’t want a huge screen & are in two minds about the iphone so this phone has to match the iphone 5 in fluidity & performance. Also if Samsung is endorsing this phone with the galaxy s 3 series moniker, then it has to live up to lofty expectations. So this phone cannot be mediocre.

If apple built different variations of their phone…they’d have more handsets circulating than Nokia and Samsung. All this is a smaller lower spec’d version of a great phone. MOST people that are going to buy it won’t care whether it’s the best phone or not…it’s going to ship with jelly bean so it’ll be smooth anyways. The most disappointing thing is the screen Res. It’ll be a decent phone for anyone who gets it.

You look at an iPhone and it looks like a $700 phone, you look at the Galaxy S3 and for that price you feel like you are being ripped off. This new Galaxy S3 mini will just join the GS3 on the dead stand of Samsung product display. Unless you can’t afford an iPhone you, paying hundreds for cheap plastic just won’t make any sense. I sincerely doubt Samsung believed that they would “compete” with the iPhone 5 by offering a small screened device. This is a budget phone for people who can’t shell out money for the SIII or other high end phones. The Samsung Galaxy S3 competes with the iPhone 5, and seems to be doing a pretty good job so far. I wish these Android phone manufacturers would make their overlay skins optional or something you can turn off. I’d love one of these if it had a pure Jellybean experience rather than having to fumble through Touch Wiz (still an awful name) I prefer the specs on this over the Nexus phones which always seem to be missing 1 thing I want. As for dialers, the only dialer I’ve ever liked was HTC’s and that includes over the iPhone’s. I haven’t used a Jellybean dialer yet though.
